Legacy is what defines this 175-year-old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky brand. Glenfarclas is one of the rarest Scotch Whisky brands in the world that have been unitedly produced by an independent family firm. The spirit of independence signifies Glenfarclas’ commitment to produce the finest Highland Malt. Famous for its traditional full bodied and well-cherished style, this Whisky is perfect as a coveted gift or for a special occasion.

The secret of the unique character of Glenfarclas is its traditional distillation method, combined with the unique size and shape of the copper pot stills in which the spirit is fermented, the selected oak casks in which it is stored and the style and location of the distillery’s warehouse. Glenfarclas produces fine Whiskies with different flavors, notes and levels of maturity. From a fresh and mouthwatering 10-year-old to the indulgent 40-year-old Whisky and the class apart limited edition 105 Cask Strength, all are part of Glenfarclas’ portfolio. This veteran Whisky brand recently launched its 18-year-old Whisky for travel retail. As per our commitment to stock the most renowned brands in the world, we will soon have Glenfarclas 18 Year Old Whisky in our store. Here is a short introduction to this popular Whisky.

Glanfarclas 18 Year Old

As is the traditional distillery style of Glenfarclas, this Whisky is heavily sherried and bottled at its natural colour.

The nose presents a lovely freshness, revealing a slightly fermented soft fruit, honey, white pepper, lemon and a hint of vanilla. A little underlying maltiness releases with a touch of water.

The flavour is fuller and more powerful than hinted at by the colour and aroma. The drinker experiences a lovely mixture of creamy fudge, dried fruits, almonds and apples on the palate. The ending is a little bitter, though long lasting, smooth and satisfying as it slips down the throat.

The next time you pass through the Kempegowda International Airport, be sure to visit Bengaluru Duty Free and bring home this spirited Highland Malt from Scotland.
