The Singleton Single Malt is distilled using water of exceptional quality, drawn from the same well since 1896. Characterised by exceptional smoothness, this Whisky is aged for 12 to 15 years in casks that are a combination of American and European Oak. The Singleton of Glen Ord is a product of the White Burn’s water and the Black Isle’s barley and tantalises the palate with the vibrancy of dark berries, cherries and blackcurrants. This ‘hidden gem’ is rich, complex and confident with hints of melon and citrus fruit blended with crystallised ginger coated in chocolate creaminess. A winner of several recent awards, it also boasts The Scotch Whisky Master’s Gold (2014).
The Glenlivet Single Malt Whisky is the biggest selling brand of Single Malt in the United States and the second biggest globally. Founded in 1824 in the parish of Glenlivet in the Scottish Highlands, this Whisky is described in packaging and advertising as “the Single Malt that started in all”. With a history as hair-raising as any modern day thriller, the journey of the Glenlivet name began in the illegal realms of Whisky distilling, shooting to fame once it became legally licensed and coveted by connoisseurs from the locals to the aristocracy. With its distinctive flavours and pure notes, The Glenlivet has its sights set on being the World No. 1 Single Malt Whisky. It has several awards and medals (over 12 so far) to its name and The Glenlivet’s 18 year old Single Malt is its most highly decorated product so far.
This beautiful Single Malt is produced through the marriage of the spirit distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills with American white oak casks. Glenmorangie was amongst the earliest distillers (1960s) to age their Whisky in ex-bourbon rather than sherry casks. The 10 year old Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky is matured for a decade in these casks from Missouri, resulting in a perfect balance of sweetness and complexity and a mature, soft, mellow and creamy spirit. To the nose the aromas of citrus and peaches is gently blended with that of vanilla; the palate senses the vanilla first which then bursts into flowery fruitiness.
Winner of several accolades, it is considered the “original expression of the Glenmorangie collection” and is winner of the most ‘Gold Best in Class’ Awards between 2006 and 2011 than any other Single Malt Whisky.
This fine Malt Whisky is crafted at a distillery on the rugged coast of North East Scotland. Although relatively young (begun in 1962), Glen Deveron still employs the traditional manner in crafting its Single Malts, using copper pots, fine malted barley and pure spring water. The youngest of the Malts is 16 years old, aged in sherry-oak casks to produce a fuller, fruitier taste. The extended maturation period they receive in the casks ensures a smooth and exceptionally mellow finish. A double award winning collection, this Single Malt is set to take over the Traveller Retail world.
A winner of over 10 awards, The Balvenie is a fine range of Single Malts, claimed to be unique in its combination of natural alchemy and centuries-old craftsmanship. The distillery has its own home-grown barley and a traditional malting floor, one of the last of its kind. The Single Malts of Balvenie are “rich, luxuriously smooth and underpinned by a distinctive honeyed character.” The Balvenie PortWood aged 21 years is a marriage of the rare Balvenie spirit with port casks or pipes that once held fine port wine.
